Transfer Pricing Manager
Sponsorship available for candidates already in the UK
Why we love working with this client
We’ve helped build this Transfer Pricing team over several years, so our view isn’t based on a client briefing document; it comes from the people we’ve placed there who tell us how things are going twelve and twenty-four months down the line.
What we hear back is remarkably consistent.
- The Partner genuinely backs the team, the work stretches people without burning them out, and the firm treats people like adults.
- The interview process is refreshingly quick and respectful, feedback is honest and immediate, and offers are made to secure great people rather than haggle.
- It’s the kind of client we’re genuinely proud to represent because we know the experience matches the promise.
The firm and the practice:
This is a leading mid-tier firm that consistently earns its place in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work rankings, backed by the strength and reach of a top-ten global network.
Culture here isn't an afterthought on an induction slide; it’s the practical reason people choose to stay.
The Transfer Pricing practice itself is led by a Partner who is both technically sharp and an active advocate for the team across the wider firm. Because revenues are exceptionally healthy, this hire isn’t about winning speculative work, it’s about creating delivery bandwidth for high-calibre engagements that are already rolling in.
You will be working on complex, advisory-led mandates: international restructurings, cross-border IP, debt pricing, and multinational groups reaching the stage where their intercompany arrangements need strategic thinking.
The role:
As Manager, you will take true ownership of client engagements from the initial scoping phase through to final delivery, acting as the day-to-day advisor that senior client stakeholders actually lean on.
You’ll lead the functional analysis and shape the economic strategy on every project, making pragmatic use of benchmarking and modern analytical tools while steering your junior colleagues through the process.
Beyond the technical work, you’ll run engagements end to end, keeping a sensible eye on budgets, deadlines, and project quality.
Developing the team beneath you is central to the role, which means coaching junior staff through regular feedback and supporting the Partner with resourcing and appraisals. As you settle in, you’ll also collaborate naturally with colleagues across corporate finance and international tax to spot advisory angles across the firm's fast-growth mid-market client base.
Why this role:
Your focus will be on delivering exceptional advice, leading projects, and building the commercial credibility that makes a promotion to Senior Manager inevitable. The route forward is clear, the team is growing fast enough to create natural space above you, and you have a leadership team actively invested in getting you there.
About you:
You’ll bring solid UK Transfer Pricing experience from a Big 4, mid-tier, or boutique background, and you’ll either be an established Manager looking for a far healthier working environment or a high-performing Assistant Manager who is ready to step up and run things. You know your way around both advisory work and defensible documentation, you're comfortable sitting in front of clients and translating complex OECD principles into plain commercial English, and you genuinely enjoy coaching junior people.
A relevant professional qualification like ACA, CTA, or ADIT is ideal, though economists with the right practical tax experience are equally welcome. You will need to be living and working in the UK already, though visa sponsorship can easily be transferred for the right person.
