The Opportunity

If you are currently working in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, you already know the drill: high target hours, rigid hierarchies, and endless compliance cycles where you rarely get to see the big-picture outcome of your work.

This is a rare chance to break out of that traditional model without stepping down in quality. We are partnering with an elite, highly prestigious City law firm to hire a Transfer Pricing Senior Analyst into their award-winning Tax and Reward practice.

Unlike practice environments that separate economists and tax advisory teams into strict silos, this practice operates a joint, multidisciplinary unit where economists and tax lawyers work side by side. The work here is heavily strategic, bespoke, and advice-led, giving you high visibility, direct exposure to major cross-border transactions, and genuine commercial autonomy early in your career.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Strategic Advisory: delivering technical tax, economic, and transfer pricing analysis for high-profile M&A, private capital, real estate, and investment fund matters.
  • Bespoke Modelling: preparing transfer pricing and economic studies, thin capitalisation assessments, and complex benchmarking analysis using top-tier data tools.
  • Client Engagement: taking day-to-day ownership of client relationships and managing projects directly rather than acting as back-office support.
  • Cross-Practice Collaboration: working hand in hand with corporate and tax partners, as well as collaborating with international law firms on cross-border mandates.
  • Thought Leadership: writing technical market insights and conducting broader economic research on industries and capital markets.

About You

  • Experience: 3 to 6 years within Transfer Pricing gained in a Big 4, mid-tier firm, or an established legal transfer pricing practice.
  • Technical Depth: a strong handle on OECD TP Guidelines, UK transfer pricing legislation, and practical economic modelling.
  • Data Proficiency: hands-on experience with benchmarking platforms such as TP Catalyst, Bloomberg, or S&P Capital IQ, alongside strong Excel skills.
  • Communication: exceptional written and verbal skills, with the confidence to explain technical economic concepts to non-tax clients and senior partners.
  • Qualifications: ACA, CFA, or an economics/analytics degree is advantageous, but solid practical technical experience is key.

Why We Love Working With This Firm

  • We recruit across the City, but this firm stands out for several reasons that candidates consistently rave about.
  • Magic Circle Quality, Without the Friction: they regularly go toe to toe with the biggest firms in London on high-value deals, but operate with an agile, single-site model. There is zero internal bureaucracy or political games, just brilliant people doing exceptional work.
  • Top-Tier Mentorship: you will not be tucked away behind layers of management. You will work directly alongside a well-respected, highly approachable TP Lead who takes personal pride in mentoring junior talent and building your individual market profile.
  • Unbeatable Culture: internal market feedback consistently praises the firm's genuine open-door policy, lack of ego, and collaborative environment. They treat people as long-term stewards of the firm rather than numbers on a spreadsheet.
  • Reward Structure: alongside a generous base salary of up to £70,000, the firm operates an exceptionally attractive bonus structure, including both personal performance and firm-wide profit sharing, that punches well above traditional practice packages.

Existing UK working rights are essential for this opportunity, as unfortunately visa sponsorship cannot be provided at the current time.
