Transfer Pricing Senior Manager
Imagine a role where you are not just a technical expert but a pivotal architect of global strategy for some of the world’s most influential businesses, all while based in the heart of a city as vibrant as Manchester.
This opportunity is about stepping into a senior leadership position within a nationally renowned transfer pricing team that is currently experiencing a period of significant growth. You will find yourself at the forefront of the Northern Powerhouse, working within a culture that prizes intellectual curiosity and genuine collaboration.
As a Senior Manager, your daily life will involve leading complex, multi-jurisdictional projects that go far beyond simple documentation. You will be helping multinational groups navigate the shifting sands of global tax reform, advising on everything from intellectual property migration and value chain transformation to the intricacies of diverted profits tax and thin capitalisation.
The Manchester office serves a remarkably diverse client base, ranging from high-growth tech unicorns and private equity backed disruptors to established global giants in the manufacturing, consumer business, and financial services sectors. This means you will pivot from discussing the operational transfer pricing of an AI start-up on one given day, to then supporting a legacy industrial firm through a high stakes HMRC enquiry or a bilateral advance pricing agreement.
What makes this specific role stand out is the clear, structured path toward a Director position. You won't be expected to figure it out on your own, instead, you will work closely with the partner group to build a robust business case that reflects your unique strengths.
This involves taking ownership of a specific market sector or a technical niche, such as transfer pricing controversy or financial transactions, and becoming the go-to authority in that space.
You will have the autonomy to mentor a talented group of managers and consultants, shaping the next generation of advisors while simultaneously driving your own commercial agenda and building lasting relationships with the C-suite of your clients.
The ideal person for this role is likely someone currently operating at TP Senior Manager or Associate Director level who feels they have hit a ceiling or simply wants a more dynamic environment. You will have a deep understanding of OECD principles, but more importantly, you will be able to take complex economic data and turn it into a compelling commercial narrative. You are likely someone who enjoys the thrill of a new business pitch as much as the intellectual rigour of a functional analysis.
In return, you will join a firm that truly understands the modern world of work. This isn't just about hybrid working as a policy; it is about a culture that trusts its senior leaders to manage their own time and teams. You will have access to world class technology and a global network of specialists, ensuring that while you are based in Manchester, your impact is fully felt.
If you are looking for a platform where your ambition is matched by the firm's investment in your future, this is the place where you can truly make your mark and see your path to the top clearly mapped out.
