Tax Managed Services Director
Tax Managed Services has moved firmly into the heart of tax transformation discussions. Regulatory complexity continues to increase, data volumes are growing and as such, expectations around accuracy, transparency and speed are higher than ever. At the same time, many in-house tax teams are leaner and with limited capacity to absorb additional change. Against that backdrop, Tax Managed Services has evolved into a strategic operating model overarching a variety of tax solutions with the future of digital compliance at the heart.
Why we like working this client
We are working with a client that has taken a deliberate and strategic approach to Tax Managed Services. The leadership team has a clear vision - the platform is firmly established, where winning new clients across a range of industry sectors (FTSE listed and mid-market) is due to the strength of their proposition.
The breadth and scope of the role
This role sits at the heart of delivering large-scale UK and global tax compliance, accounting and reporting managed services. You will take end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction engagements, ensuring services are delivered consistently, at pace and to a high technical standard across global client environments.
A core focus is the design and implementation of tax managed services and operating model solutions. This includes leading transition and mobilisation phases, shaping how work moves into the delivery and ensuring operating models are practical, scalable and embedded within the client organisation.
You will also lead tax transformation initiatives, ranging from process redesign through to the creation of Centres of Excellence and the development of client capabilities. Alongside this, you will advise on tax risk, controls, process design and functional resilience, helping tax functions operate more effectively in increasingly complex and regulated environments.
Technology underpins much of this work. You will oversee technology-enabled delivery models, including workflow, data, controls and reporting frameworks, while establishing robust governance, service management and issue resolution across global programmes. You will manage delivery teams and coordinate specialist input across tax, technology and advisory to ensure outcomes are joined-up and commercially sound.
