Direct Tax Transformation Senior Director / Partner

The Bigger Picture

My client is a leading global professional services firm with a focus on further strengthening its European Tax and Finance transformation business. With the capability to bring into the team a Senior Director or Tax Transformation Partner, this person will continue to help shape the direction of direct tax managed services, transformation and how this interfaces with the complexities of their clients global financial reporting obligations. The team has the mandate, the investment and the platform due to the practice sitting at the crossroads of advisory, delivery and managed services. Redesigning operating models, modernising statutory and tax reporting, embedding better technology, and shifting their clients from outdated compliance sytems to something sharper, scalable and data-driven is at the heart of this role.

The opportunity

You’ll step into a senior leadership role within the EMEA transformation leadership group, driving some of the most ambitious statutory accounting and direct tax change programmes across the region. The work spans strategy, design and execution with a clear focus on re-engineering an organisations global compliance eco-system. This is a market-making role where you will be building relationships at C-suite level whilst leading multidisciplinary teams through end-to-end transformation and managed services delivery. Your input will directly influence how the firm evolves its offering across EMEA.

What you’ll lead

• Designing future-state operating models for statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance.
• Developing scalable EMEA managed services solutions, linking global delivery centres with technology platforms.
• Running multi-country transformation programmes from concept to steady-state service delivery.
• Moving clients toward automation, workflow and data-led reporting and away from spreadsheet-heavy legacy processes.
• Building trusted relationships with CFOs, Heads of Tax, Controllers and senior finance stakeholders.
• Working closely with technology and data teams to embed tools that upgrade statutory and tax reporting.
• Coaching growing teams and maintaining high-quality delivery across complex engagements.

What you bring

• Deep capability in statutory accounting, corporate tax compliance and reporting, and the transformation of these functions.
• A track record advising senior finance and tax leaders on operating models, governance, process redesign and technology enablement.
• Experience designing or delivering managed services within a Big 4, industry or specialist consulting environment.
• A commercial mindset — someone who can identify opportunities, shape propositions and win work.
• Leadership presence with the ability to guide teams, challenge constructively and hold the confidence of senior clients.
• Ambition and curiosity – the team needs builders!
