Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to work closely with multinational clients across various industries to develop, implement, and document transfer pricing strategies that align with both business objectives and global tax regulations. This role offers excellent career development opportunities and the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in New Zealand and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage transfer pricing projects for multinational clients with operations in New Zealand and internationally
  • Prepare and review comprehensive transfer pricing documentation in accordance with local regulations and OECD guidelines
  • Conduct economic analyses to determine arm's length pricing for various intercompany transactions
  • Develop and implement practical transfer pricing policies that align with clients' business operations
  • Provide technical advice on complex transfer pricing matters, including responding to tax authority inquiries
  • Assist with transfer pricing controversy and dispute resolution processes Identify planning opportunities and support clients with transfer pricing risk management
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and develop junior team members

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in accounting, economics, finance, law, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Professional qualification (or legal qualification) is highly desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in transfer pricing, either within a Big 4/professional services environment or in-house at a multinational company
  • Comprehensive understanding of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and New Zealand transfer pricing regulations
  • Experience with economic analysis and statistical methods
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills Experience developing junior staff
