Our client has been a Tier 1 Tax advisor in the GCC region since 2010.  It has received numerous awards in the last few years which include Best Employer in the Middle East, best consulting firm, and the Middle East Training & Development Excellence Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). The Middle East encompasses diverse tax laws and is part of what makes a career in tax in the region a truly stimulating and rewarding experience.
Our client has recently chosen to house and grow a specialised and dedicated transfer pricing team in Cairo. Due to this exciting phase of expansion there are now 5 new openings for Transfer Pricing Senior Consultants and Managers to join the team, reporting to a transfer pricing manager and an international tax Partner. The team will be based in Egypt but will be guided and trained from time to time by members of the Global transfer pricing services network.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Demonstrate awareness of the differences between OECD and foreign transfer pricing rules with local TP rules and know where to access this information.
  • Preparing for functional analysis interviews by learning about the clients business, industry and recent news.
  • Overseeing TP juniors in functional analysis interviews ensuring accurate note taking and organisation of information.
  • Selection and application of TP methods and PLIs to specific transactions under guidance of TP manager.
  • Drafting functional and economic analysis segments of the report.
  • Overseeing TP juniors in drafting company profiles and industry analyses sections of a report.
  • Reviewing and taking responsibility for the work of TP juniors on segments of documents/memos.
  • Actively participating in training TP Juniors.
  • Preparing meeting agendas and discussion outlines.
  • Ensuring all required administrative documentation is completed and filed in the work papers.
Ideal candidates will have the following attributes:
  • Hold a university degree or equivalent certification in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law or similar.
  • Have at least 3-6 years of relevant working experience in Transfer Pricing assignments.
  • Have a very strong technical knowledge and deep understanding of Transfer Pricing concepts, including transfer of intellectual property, transfers of tangible goods and other financial transactions.
  • A proven record of accomplishment of business development capabilities, i.e. successfully identifying, initiating and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities.
  • Have proven exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence and top results.
  • Experienced in managing a team you demonstrate strong ownership as well as flexibility.
  • Be comfortable in multicultural environments built on a shared culture of team spirit, mutual respect and openness.
  • Demonstrate excellent writing, communication and presentation skills, including strong writing, research and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is necessary. Fluency in Arabic would be a plus with any other language being an advantage.
