Our client is one of leading global developers and suppliers of professional and consumer power tools, power and outdoor equipment and floor care products. The Group, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in developing, manufacturing and supplying branded tools and equipment across a range of markets globally, with North America and Europe being its largest markets. Its key brands within the power equipment segment are power tools and outdoor products.

There is a new and exciting opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Manager to be based in the global headquarters in Hong Kong, where the Group is also listed. The ideal candidate will be involved in matters related to the Group’s global transfer pricing planning and compliance, with specific responsibility areas involving: 

  • Prepare local TP documentation reports for the Group companies in the US, EMEA, and APAC. 
  • Coordinate with the regional/local tax and finance team to gather company information and financial data required for the preparation of the country-by-country reporting information and TP documentation reports.
  • Conduct regional/local-benchmarking analyses for the Group companies, considering each company’s functional and risk profile.
  • Coordinate with external advisors as to outsourced transfer pricing analyses, and review advisor output and outcomes.
  • Analyse the Group companies’ profitability and align their transfer pricing outcomes with the respective companies’ value creation.
  • Monitor global/local regulatory developments in transfer pricing area.
  • Take initiative in supporting ad-hoc projects (such as tax and TP audits, restructurings, valuation transactions etc.).
  • Any other special projects that may arise.

Ideal candidates will have acquired between 3-5 years relevant professional Transfer Pricing experience, gained in a Big 4 firm or in-house function of a global MNC. You will have proficient knowledge of transfer pricing regulations (OECD) and various country level transfer pricing regulations and some existing knowledge of international tax rules and regulations is a plus.
Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential including a proficiency in excel and commonly used transfer pricing benchmarking tools/databases. You will be an independent and established self-starter with proven ability to make decisions and follow through on projects to completion. You will also need to highlight your global business acumen with proven ability to communicate with stakeholders in various countries.
