THE ROLE

There is a new opportunity in Montreal for a Principal Advisor in Transfer Pricing who will be mainly responsible for transfer pricing compliance for North American, European and African companies, along with audit defence and transfer pricing planning in collaboration with the Director. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to provide support on international taxation matters and other relevant mandates.  

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and update of the Transfer Pricing documentation and Master File and Country-by-Country reporting, APAs/BAPAs.
  • Gather necessary financial and non-financial information and liaise with the personnel from various business units.
  • Assist with audit defence, transfer pricing planning, and international taxation matters.
  • Manage the production of prescribed forms related to inter-company transactions (T-106 and 5471/5472) for Canadian and US business units and ensure the data integrity.
  • Manage and review the computation of the management fees and other inter-company services transactions.
  • Provide, in a timely manner, ad hoc assistance and advice to the business units on various topics.
  • Collaborate with the broader global transfer pricing team.
  • Look for continuous process improvement.

ABOUT YOU

Ideal professionals will be Canadian citizens/unrestricted work permit holders and have a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience acquired with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or large corporate tax department of a multinational company. You will have excellent  knowledge of Transfer Pricing processes and the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution development and implementation of business unit’s needs. Additional key attributes include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other business related field.
  • Master's degree in tax or completed In-depth Tax Course or equivalent an asset.
  • Good knowledge of tax and business laws and regulations.
  • Excellent level of writing skills in French and English.
  • Excellent research skills and strong verbal communications skills in French and English.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving abilities, and attention to details.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
  • Availability to travel without restrictions.
